MJM Builders works closely with the Main Line’s best architects, and as a result we can be in’ assisting you with preliminary ideas, costs and the selection of an architect that best suits your needs.
DOES MJM FINANCE PROJECTS?
MJM Builders has a good, working relationship with a local lender, and we can help arrange f equity! construction loans.
HOW LONG WILL THE PROJECT TAKE?
Each project is different, depending on the size of the project and the scope of customization. customized projects require additional time and patience. However, a relatively accurate gauge:
• 1,000-2,000 sq.ft. --- 2 months
• 2,500-3,000 sq. ft --- 4 months
• 3,000-6,000 sq. ft --- 6 months
CAN MJM ASSIST ME WITH SELECTING FINISHES?
At MJM we have an in-house Interior Designer on staff, as well as strong working relationship Main Line’s best painters, and suppliers to bring you an endless palette of possibilities so that vision is clearly understood and realized. We can also help direct you to various suppliers for fixtures, cabinets, countertops, accessories, etc.
ARE THERE ADDITIONAL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS?
Unforeseen costs are always a part of any major project, including, but not limited to:
• driveway repairs
• landscaping repairs
• upgrades/additional repairs due to unseen rotten wood, outdated electrical or plumbing, etc.
repairs/patches/touch-ups to finished painting due to change orders or extensions in the project
• general house cleaning
IS THERE A LOT OF DUST AND DISRUPTION DURING THE PROJECT?
We make every effort to maintain a clean and sate work environment, being sensitive to family children and/or pets. Depending on the size and scope of each job, we sometimes suggest the homeowner moves out temporarily.
ARE ALL OF MJMs SUB-CONTRACTORS INSURED?
Yes. All of our sub-contractors are licensed, registered and insured.
WILL THERE BE SOMEONE OVERSEEING MY PROJECT ON A DAILY BASIS?
Yes. MJM Builders has dedicated Project Managers available to be in constant contact with e homeowner. They are often found at the job site on a daily basis, but regardless of their location concerns, comments or questions are always just a phone cell away, with “on-call” responsive
WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE CHANGES AS THE PROJECT IS BEING COMPLETED?
There is always a running documentation process for discussed and agreed upon changes or to the project, and a spreadsheet explaining each billing cycle in detail.
